Stopped by for a quick cup of coffee and ended up sitting outside with a sandwich. The cafe has a funky, relaxed feel complete with games and books available for customers. My BLTA sandwich was good, though I wish they had listed the fact that they used a mustard spread because I definitely would have left that out for mine. They were kind of busy around 2pm on a week day which was surprising. Maybe 2 patrons inside and a few more outside? Only one woman working and she definitely seemed a bit frazzled, but was very nice. They serve Panther coffee which made me happy, so I'm sure I'll be back.

This is the sweetest breakfast spot in Delray Beach. I went there with a few friends and I could not be more thrilled with all aspects the service was amazing as well as, the food it reminds me of my moms cooking. I will now be a regular this is very affordable and a cozy atmosphere

This place is great. So much personality and style. It's so well hidden too. This place is perfect any morning. The tea and coffee and food. Whatever you get, you will love. High quality and great service. I come here with my friends every morning I can.

quite possibly one of the only true coffee shops in Delray, I'm gonna miss them at 660 Linton and hope the rumors are true they are staying near by. excellent coffee and exceptional empenadas as well as desserts. I've scored a few pieces of art off their walls as well.

Good coffee, very welcoming staff, cute atmosphere in an unexpected strip mall off Linton. Quality of food is great, just wish it was a little cheaper (or the portions just a tad larger)

I found out about this place through Facebook one day. They had empanadas, and one of the things I really like are empanadas, so I'm always looking for the best empanada in town. It raised my curiosity about this place even more when they posted that they were serving Panther coffee, another of my food crushes, and I've been very curious about this coffee since a friend of mine does nothing but raving about its power to raise the dead, and that is literally what I need, something that powerful to start my day! So I decided to pay a visit and have my breakfast there. As you come in the whole place will just visually explode in your head! There is art everywhere! outside the cafe, inside, on the ceiling, I mean everywhere. As you can imagine the decoration is very artsy, they have tables, a couch, a chess table, a fuzzball table (yes! I love it!), vinyl records stand... It's all very welcoming, I felt like I should have brought all my friends just to hang around and have a great time with my Panther coffee, which by the way I tried as a late espresso. Pure yummyness, and their empanadas do not fall behind! They have many flavors: curry beef, beef, chicken, ham&cheese, veggie, corn, guava&cheese... I had the ham & cheese, and the guava & cheese with my delicious coffee. The empanadas had a rich filling, the guava just dripped down my hands on my first bite (so good!). I spoke to my server and he informed that they are actually in the process to expand their menu, right now it consists of empanadas, soup, and croissant sandwiches, to quiches and salads. They will build a salad station, a small stage so live bands can play, and with that even extend their opening hours now closing at 8:30 pm on weekdays and 4:30 pm on weekends, also new they are open on Sundays. I forgot to mention they also carry craft beers and wines... This is a dangerous place, you can start in the morning with your Panther coffee and end up all the in the evening, still here, with a glass of wine in your hands and no clue to what happened to the rest of the day! *MUST ADD BOOKMARK ALERT*

This is a little Delray treasure. Everything is awesome; the people (laid back, welcoming and genuinely nice), the ambience (chill, cute, cozy), the empanadas (especially the chicken curry and vegan veggie) which come with an amazing creamy spicy sauce, the lattes (you can choose from regular, almond or coconut milk), the vegan sweet potato curry soup, the cookies, and the recently added white mango sangria, which is hands down the best white sangria I've ever tasted. You will want to come back again and again.

Came here for the first time. It's such a cute place! Had a chai latte and the lunch special, which was lentils, rice, and a fresh salad. I'm not a vegan, but it was delicious and I would def order it again. Will definitely be returning to this place.

Great neighborhood coffee. Glad to see such a high-end coffee experience reaching Delray off the ave. Bought a half pound of Panther and will definitely be returning. If you're still going to Starbucks, please step inside and readjust your coffee worldview.

This is what most people expect a coffee shop to be if they are not part of the Starbucks Clone Army. This nice little shop has a very chill vibe, art lined walls, a nice pinch of kitsch and it's own signature food items topped off with a favorite of many local coffee connoisseurs that is not normally found in these parts (Panther Coffee). Like other coffee shops of the same type, The Beat Cup has it's own personality and style. Not too artsy, not too hipster, not too retro, the crew here has really dialed in to a nice ambience that is inviting and comfy. We came in on a hot day and both got cold brew (iced) Panther Coffees with a slice of banana bread and an apple empanada. The coffees were top notch, and it being our first time trying Panther, we found it to be a great coffee with a unique flavor all it's own. The banana bread is definitely some of the better I have had, served warm and having coconut baked in, it really set the flavor off. The apple empanada was nice and light and tasted more toward the tart side. To be honest, as I write this, I am still thinking about that coffee. Nice. The ambience here is pretty laid back. The front half has a quasi-country kitchen meets friendly neighbourhood coffee shop complete with their homeade quiche on display in the case. As you travel to the back half the shop's feel shifts into a bit more of a chill hangout with a comfy corner in the back, and plenty of art and decor to relax in. There are also plenty of tables and outlets for those who need to get some work done or just need table space. It's a very nice little coffee shop, and a great local gem.

I have been looking for a coffee spot like the beat cup. Jennifer who took my order was patient, helpful and considerate. A big plus in the service industry! They serve all kinds of coffee concoctions and you can pair that with a warm slice of homemade quiche. The prices are medium to high but the atmosphere, flair and plenty of seating as well as free WiFi make up for it. The owner Danielle also told Me that on Saturdays and Sundays the have live music in the afternoons. How great is that! Will have to surprise hubby one of these weekend's. You will feel at home as soon as you set foot in this shop! Now relax and enjoy!

I enjoyed my egg whites and banana bread French toast with strawberries while listening to some subtle reggae and being hosted by Daniela; service with a smile; try the tarts and local artisan food in an art filled environment with works displayed by artists such as #EricPerna.

I came here last night to meet some of my favorite Yelper friends for a night full of socializing and booze. That is exactly what I got! I first came in and met with my friends. Then, I headed towards the back of the venue looking around at the awesome decor. I spoke with the adorable girl who works there with a fantastic personality. She went through all the beer options and helped me make my choice. So most of the night I spent on the couch near the front of the location. I watched the locals performing since it was open-mic night. Kudos to everyone who went up there! You were terrific! Overall, I had so much fun. The staff was super friendly and awesome. The decor and atmosphere is so chill. Come have a beer, eat some food, watch performances and mingle with the locals. Perfect night? I think so. Oh vegetarians, they have a veggie sandwich and/or salad in case you get the munchies. ;-)

I know I just reviewed then yesterday for food and ambience but last nights open mic was amazing! It was an intimate crowd with a service of imported beers and great wine and awesome sandwiches create by Chef Alex. Open mic included an amazing jazz musician on keys, with a poet, they perform on their own as well individually. We had Bobby on drums, Eric on guitar and yes, yours truly read. Because there was such a variety of musicians I had the opportunity to do some lyrical poetry while they jammed. It was amazing. To my WPB Yelpers, come out next time and join me!!! I'll post it as an event! What a high!!!!

Best Coffee in area period!! Only place I know of to get Panther Coffee in Palm Beach county. Not easy to find but once you do you will become a regular customer. Edgy place, a little hipster, with great food too. My favorite is the Caramel frozen coffee -- its fantastic! I also love the cappuccino too. Best part is after a few times the staff knows who you are too. Wish I was closer I would go every day

A little crazy...A lot of fun! It's a "feel good" type of place. Leave your inhibitions behind and open up to a new experience. It's certainly what I did and it was great! If you can imagine the FRIENDS set on acid, then you have imagined The Beat Cup Cafe. I mean that in a good way. You have the love-seats and the big ole coffee mugs but you also have all sorts of funky art hanging around you and a psychedelic vibe. On any given night you can find a poet, a pianist or even a group of break dancers performing. It all goes. It's all accepted (and encouraged). The coffee they use is Panther Coffee which I had there for the first time. The sandwiches were really great too! They are made to order and with a lot of love. My only complaint is the wine selection. While they carry a good number of different craft beers (to my taste anyway), the wine selection is lacking. I know I am a little bit of a wine snob but the selection is truly subpar. Other than that, come in, choose your poison, sit back, relax and unwind. You will be surprised at what you see and hear. No visit there s ever the same. I am looking forward to my next time and all that it will bring.

Leave the pretentious attitudes at the door; there is simply too much of a good thing here to let it be ruined with egos or "better than thou" personalities. Beat Cup is a refreshing alternative to the many over-rated overpriced places that seems to be the norm these days. So what exactly makes the Beat Cup so cool.... The place is very reminiscent of the 70' Coconut Grove artist movement and would be an ideal fit into Wynwood Arts District but frankly, they don't need another place and it's great to have something that is so unique in the area. Everything about this place screams, make yourself at home and please be yourself. Couches and chairs are spread around this small storefront space, donated and consigned art dons the walls and ceiling (majority of which is for sale) and unique homemade bookshelves house many books that are there for you to borrow (like a library on the honor system). The owners (and friends of the owners) are gracious hosts. The owners and many "regulars" were coming to me and making sure I was enjoying myself. As if they were inviting me into their secret club (except it's not a secret). You're not going to find a more welcoming group; so eager to meet and greet. Five minutes into my first visit and I felt like an old friend. Basically I was Norm from Cheers. Try and make your first visit on "open mic" night. Artistic and creative people passionately take their turns on the small center-stage. Surprisingly enough, some are actually quite talented and some not-so-much (but those tend to be the ones that are enjoying themselves the most). Almost forgot the "icing on the cake"; the "cafe" in the name must mean something... though I have not had their food (yet), their selection of craft beer is good and their coffee shop does great work (as it should be since they are serving up Panther Coffee that the owner picks up himself in Miami weekly). Kick off your shoes (literally) and come for a look for yourself and follow the advice given on their website "Play, Dance, Sing and Chill Out With Us"

This place sucked. The girl at the front was creepy and rude. Stared me and my girlfriend down while we were looking at the things they had on the board. Ordered my food, and the empanadas weren't even hot, at best warm and by the time i sat down to eat they started getting cold. Definitely not coming back here again.. I can't even believe I spent $13 on 3 empanadas and a coke.

Call me a smitten kitten! I absolutely purrrrr over the delicious bites, attentive friendly service and fantastic artsy yet cozy atmosphere. Marisol and Glenn brought me out here on Saturday night after having some Cigar City beers at a nearby tap takeover. Then I met Marisol for a weekday lunch. This past weekend, a group of us Yelpers, hosted by the most gracious Marisol and Glenn, Boca Yelp Elite Power Couple Extraordinaire (BYEPCE), came here for some live tunes and down time after dinner. Three visits in a month, to a spot two counties away, makes me one devoted fan. Pablo, one of my own Brasilian peeps, is so warm and welcoming that he makes every visit a special one. The frozen coffee he made for me this past Saturday was gulped down in about .2 seconds after I let everyone at the table get a quick hit. Yea, I couldn't help myself. He served up some delicious bites upon my first visit while I enjoyed a few craft brews. Their food is fresh and scrumptious, with the most tempting decadent desserts made by his mother. The woman may be trying to kill me, after that amazing chocolate mousse cake pranced and danced before our eyes this past Saturday. Somehow, my willpower was strong enough to resist...this time. I am so happy to have been introduced to this spot by the BYEPCE, and even scored an awesome poetry book here! Looking forward to many other visits in the near future. Perhaps one day, Delray shall be where I call home...perhaps...and then, I may just never leave this spot.

As I begin writing this, I'll let you know that I am personally acquainted with the owners & have visited The Beat Cup Cafe numerous times over the past year and a half. Knowing the above doesn't sway me from writing an honest review, so let me begin. The location itself is tucked away in a shopping center directly on Linton Blvd, next to Resta Salon (owned also by The Beat Cup Cafe) and is easy to find. The sign on the outside from the street just says "CAFE" though. I've come here during the evening for musical performances and art gatherings, all of which were complete with a crowd of funky individuals and hipster cool kids. The staff is friendly and I've never encountered a problem with customer service before. The food & drink options are ever-changing, though. That's where I had to knock off a star. It's just inconsistent and you honestly don't know what you're going to find (or not find) when you return the next time. At one point, they were making sandwiches & other meal-like options... now they only offer empanadas & soups. I'd like to say the empanadas were "WOW" but they were easily dismissed. The tomato basil soup I tried was good, but not warm enough when it was served to me. I kind of wish they offered me some bread to dip in it, too. They just started offering fresh juiced drinks with really healthy options such as beets, carrots, ginger, oranges, and a few others... I tried one and it was great (the "Pablo is Special")... but the drink wasn't really cold. Kind of threw me off. As a place that touts unique art & invites others to express themselves without feeling judged... I think The Beat Cup Cafe will stay on my list of places to return to.

This is the best coffeeshop in Delray Beach. A very cool, hipster, artsy, laid back vibe that I love. Get the coffee in the morning or orange juice later. They make the juice right in front of you. Can't beat that. All the food rocks. It's owned by a Brazilian couple (another Brazilian couple owns the connected salon, which is pretty awesome too), so the food has great, fresh flavors. My only complaint is that they're closed Sundays. Otherwise, it rocks.

It's really cool for me to see how this has turned out to be a great "hang-out" place for so many people. I've seen how the Beat Cup literally started. I used to be at Resta (next door) almost every month doing my hair... I saw when they got the space, how they started building, then adding the café, some art, sofas, and it just took off from there. It's been a while since I've visited The Beat Cup but I always remembered it being very laid-back, casual, where everyone was welcomed. Everyone was invited to express themselves through their art, be it music, jewelry, poetry, and more. I was just there for the "Hello Elevator" CD release and was am happy to see this has not changed, that they keep this same atmosphere. Even better, they have a full café vibe with coffees, teas, pastries, and more, with some tables and sofas, and some outside seating too. They have board games, fooseball table, and books (you can take one if you bring one to exchange). The people that work there are always happy to see you, and will even become your friends if you visit a couple of times, always grateful for your visit. As I said, I was there for a CD release. Event was well organized. They were all ecstatic to be supporting their friends, who by the way sound amazing, and when the gig was done, they immediately turned on a playlist and the party continued. Make sure you check out their site for more events or just visit them on a weekend night, you're guaranteed a good time.

When i first was first told about the Beat Cup, I was told how fun the place is (and they were right), I was told how friendly the people that come here are (and they were right), I was told the owner is very outgoing and will make you feel at home (and they were right). Everything I was told was great (and they were right). My first time I visited was open mic night. People would take turns singing, playing instruments or reading poetry that they wrote. And let me tell you, some of these people that sing here sound so good. I just wanted to sit and listen all night. Even though the place is called a cafe, it's more of social bar scene but with a very unique and hip crowd. And yes they serve food (sandwiches, salads, baked goods) and since I was told they have good coffee, I decided to order a cup. I got really excited when I was told the owner Pablo gets his coffee from Panther Coffee in Miami. Pablo s a great guy, super host and does a wonderful job running his cafe. He is constantly cleaning up, welcoming guests and taking the time to interact with everyone. I came back recently for a UYE that brought at least 10 active yelpers to enjoy a night of fun. For me it was my second visit and it was open mic night again. And again I really enjoyed how talented some of the people are. As a mater of fact, our very own UYE host (Kaya) took a turn and her high energy got everyone to cheer. Once again, Pablo was a good host. He gave us a reserved area and offered us yelpers a beer special (buy any bottled craft beer and get your second one for free). Problem here was I don't know what beers are good and I don't like bitter beers. Pablo and his staff took time to ask me questions to help me pick and turns out I liked both of their suggestions. Still prefer wine but I now know there are a couple beers out there I can enjoy. I decided to give the food a try and so glad I did. I had the hip-no-tized chicken sandwich. The ciabatta bread was amazing and the sandwich was fresh made. I thought the sandwich would be okay but it was so much better than expected. I couldn't leave without getting another cup of Panther coffee. This time I went with a cappuccino. Very good and no complaints. Come by and sit back, grad a bite and wash it down with some beer, spend time with some nice people, stare at all the art on the walls and if you like something then ask about it because it's all for sale. Can't wait for the next visit.

I was craving a good cup of coffee this morning and decided to try The Beat Cup. Beware, its not in some cutesy area right next to the beach - but its comfortable and eclectic enough once you get there. Its in a strip mall but has a cute vibe. Free wifi. Coffee was pretty good. But the empanadas (an I am not a fan of empanadas) were really good - try the chicken curry empanada, so yum. Only wish their menu was a little bit bigger, the could incorporate the ingredients in the empanadas in salads for people who are avoiding carbs for instance...

Philly steak and cheese, and pulled pork empanadas were amazing, the crust so moist and flaky and the filling so juicy and flavorful. This place is awesome and the service was great too, Ariel did a great job taking care of our coffee and food order with great knowledge and suggestions, definitely recommend it!

Beat Cup is where you will find me on the last Saturday of every month, where they host an open jam session for local musicians. The musicians jam on any instrument they can find lying around the cafe. The instruments range from the quirky such as a washboard and kazoo to the conventional with drums and guitars. With the wide range of musicians meeting for the first time, the fusions of sounds create music that very in genre and quality, yet, regardless of quality, it is still an interesting spectacle to witness. Last Saturday jam sessions is just one of many events hosted by the Beat Cup. Another event, in which I was fortunate enough to attend, was an artists battle. Four talented and unique artists were given two hours to create their masterpiece. To see an artist start a piece of work from the infant stages and witness the growth of their piece into a mature, finished product was astounding. My cousin, Brent D, ended up buying a piece on wood that bore the resemblance of him. Aside from The Beat Cup blasting good music and my cousin being a muse for artists, this place is really unique. Interesting art hangs from the walls, instruments are in every corner, and books are waiting to be plucked from their one of a kind bookshelf. Also, they offer delicious sandwiches and snacks. I generally to munch of the empanadas and their fantastic selection of beer. Be warned, this place serves only tasty beer and none of the watered down stuff such as Budweiser. Their beer selection includes Cigar City, Ommegang, and Oskar Blues. The owner and its staff foster the idea of being unique and open to all. This is why it hosts an eclectic crowd for their fun events. All the aforementioned goodness is what makes The Beat Cup one of a kind.

This hip little place is really a hidden gem. We spent a very chill Saturday night here, and I can't wait to go back! There was a drum circle going on outside when we arrived. Inside there was a band playing, great art displays and an eclectic selection of books available for reading while you lounge and enjoy the music. We had delicious, freshly brewed mango tea, a huge, expertly prepared latte that blows anything Starbucks makes out of the water and some tasty empanadas. Prices were surprisingly low. The vibe was great and we spent several hours there. Looking forward to open mic night!

Not sure I'm reviewing the same Beat Cup cafe as a lot of these other reviewers. While the place is funky, casual and interesting, they have a very limited selection of beer, maybe 3 that I would call craft brews, and they're quite expensive - $16 for 2 beers and a bite size spinach empanada. And the empanada was forgettable.

Last night was my first time at The Beat Cup Cafe for my friend's B-day bash! Not only the food, service and presentation was incredible, but the whole atmosphere from the minute you walk in gives you the impression you are at home, love the trendiness and bohemian look. Will definitely come back and I recommend it to every one! A+

Empanadas were Excellent, Staff Friendly, but Slow and Pricy. I've been here numerous times and each time I go in the menu is different - not that, that's a bad thing, I like trying new items - it's just that I never know what to expect. This most recent visit (and the previous ones) was just okay. The service was really slow, maybe they were short staffed but the young women behind the counter seemed a bit frazzled. I didn't mind the wait so much but, once we were at the counter we still didn't have her attention as we had to repeat our order a couple of times, and then when it came out it was still incorrect. Then a gentleman behind us asked for the quickest food item, and she suggested an empanada, which takes 7 minutes. She immediately popped his in the oven but had yet to drop ours in...? So we waited for 15 minutes to receive our Iced Tea & Chai Mate Latte - then another 5-10 minutes for our two empanadas. The food was worth the wait! We had the pork and spinach empanadas - both were delicious. The pork had great flavor and both were stuffed in a great flaky pastry dough. The Latte and Tea were also refreshing. We really liked that they had so many healthy alternative options - Vegan and GF items as well as Almond or Coconut Milk offered instead of regular. It seemed a little expensive - for two drinks and two empanadas our check was $19 and change. The space itself is super cute and they have open mic nights and other cool events - which we've attended in the past. Also, the staff openly acknowledged our wait time and apologized multiple times - which shows integrity and a true respect for their customers happiness - which goes a long way! We will definitely stop by if we are in the area, if just to support a local spot and get another empanada :) But, not a place we would go out of our way to return to.

Really cute cafe. Came on a Monday with a friend for a cup of joe. They serve panther coffee which is hard to find north of miami/Broward area. I got a cold brew and my friend got a hot machiatto. Both of our coffee were yummy. They have a loyalty system they punch hole a coffee sleeve and then you get a free empanada or coffee once you've reached the desired punch holes (I forget how many). I didn't have any of their food but it looked yummy. They have a small retail area and it's all local items. A funky relaxing vibe inside where you could just kick back and enjoy. They also have art shows at night and even serve some beers. It's a must visit cafe!

Second time here (first being Monday) so in saying that LOVE it! Such a relaxing vibe - take a seat even if it's for 5 min to 'wine' down. local art and food. The two people that I have meet there are the sweetest and will answer any questions you have. Food and drinks fresh and delicious! This place is a must! Will be returning later this afternoon because it's so good and I kind of have too :) thanx Daniella!! FYI this Saturday they are having a art show with live music (all local artists)!!

I started going to the Beat Cup Café again recently since they have been under new ownership and I couldn't be happier with the change!! Was Beat Cup bad before... no not at all but is it a lot better now? Absolutely! First of all they still serve Panther coffee which is awesome!! I would drive out of my way to come here just for that alone, lol!!! They completely redid the inside and made it look a lot more inviting and comfortable. It still has that old 90's coffee house feel but not in a grungy way anymore and its better lit inside. The new furniture and set up really adds a nice and welcome change the place really needed if you ask me. You can tell the new owner, who is also the chef if I am not mistaken, really put a lot of love into the café. Other than the delicious coffee they also have freshly made empanadas and many other sweet treats ranging from tarts, to cookies, to these amazing coconut macaroons I have been lucky to try once before and I LOVED THEM! The empanadas are also really good and if you try the pork they serve it with this spicy sauce that is really, really good! They will always offer to warm it for you too even if you take it to go. They also serve beer and wine and they do live music on the weekends and are opened later until 8pm I think. Another cool thing about the café is how they support other local small businesses by selling their products in the café. You will always find things like homemade chocolates, lemonades, teas and other food type items made fresh and local which is a big thing for me because I love to support the community by buying locally made or grown products whenever possible. The café is in a long strip mall so it's not very easy to see from the road, but trust me it's worth looking for if you enjoy a good cup of joe!

Stopped by after they had been closed for a while. Daniela saw us looking through the window and waved for us to come in. She was cleaning up and prepping for an art show event but insisted that we order whatever we wanted. We had a peach and vanilla bean empanadas, latte and hibiscus tea. Everything was great and Daniela was warm and so friendly that we can't wait to go back!

Impressed that they have PANTHER COFFEE! Woop Woop! Its a cute spot with tasteful decor and art. Its edgy, its hipsterish, its inviting.... but zero atmosphere. It closes early and with only 2 tables of people, the lady seems crazy busy. I hope this place finds itself. If it were open later it might attract the college open-mic night type which would certainly give it some life. Elements area all there for it to be the ultimate coffee shop, will be watching to see what happens... Coffee:Awesome Pastries: Homemade - yum! To be re-reviewed soon.

This place is so cute and so delicious! I love the decor in the place - it has a very cozy feel to it. At first I expected to just get coffee and something cold to eat with it. But they also have a few hot breakfast options. Everything was delicious, especially the coffee. They serve only Panther coffee - yum! Definitely looking forward to coming back here. It's even a great spot to bring your laptop or a book and get some work done.

Really great coffee. Got the macchiato and the cold brew. Cold brew had great fruity and chocolate notes. Really smooth and easy to drink without sugar or cream. The macchiato (Italian) was one of the best I've had. Coffee wasn't over roasted and had a good amount of foam. Had caramel notes. Also got the guava empanadas, which had really good texture and wasn't too sweet. Service and environment were also nice. Not too loud, dim lit, with open warehouse look.

Solid coffee place in Delray Beach. They serve Panther coffee, which is rare outside of Miami. They have lots of funky art and board games you can play while just hanging out. I hear they have great handmade empanadas, so will have to try next time when I'm hungry. Service was super friendly, I will be back.

Got a Panther cold brew - always a win. Also got a slice of pumpkin bread which was homemade and wonderful. Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She even offered to heat up my bread which made it even better. I'll be a new regular for sure now.

Love this hidden gem!!! The smell of mama's homemade cooking hits you from the moment you walk in. The vintage/chic decor is tasteful and cozy. Chef Daniella home makes everything with organic ingredients!! Not only are the organic treats amazing but she has an entire wall of cute gourmet, local artisanal food!! The best part is the cafe is attatched to a cute artsy salon. I have definitely found my new local hang out. I feel like I'm relaxing in the comfort of my own home while I'm here.

After searching for a salon in Delray and being told countless times that Resta is the place to go, I finally went and because I am sucker for anything that is referred to as brew (beer, espresso, latte... yum) I stopped into Beat Cup before my appointment for a latte. The decor is fantastic; hip, artistic, no real rhyme or reason, and not cookie cutter. I felt right at home. I ordered my latte and settled into one of the comfy couches while I waited for my stylist, Jamie. My latte was crafted with care and even given its own piece of foamy art. The taste? The milk was creamy, just as it should be. The foam was stiff. I didn't add sugar. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that their coffee comes from Panther Coffee in Miami and even more happy to see that they were hosting open mic nights for local musicians, poets, and more. Isn't this what a coffee house is supposed to do? While searching for a snack in their cold case I spotted a Dale's and a few bottles of Cigar City... I was officially a fan. The Beat Cup offers something that is lacking in our area, passion! They are passionate enough about their coffee to bring in quality beans and staff that take pride in what they do. Overall, The Beat Cup is by far the best coffee shop in Delray Beach in both quality, decor, and staff.. Keep it up.

I went with my sister to meet up with some friends last night. I have to say that this was a very interesting place. It reminded me of some sort of psychedelic coffee house. From what I was told the atmosphere can be different every night there. The place is set up for both indoor and outdoor seating. Inside seating is couches. The center of the place is a sort of stage area. People go up there and do random performances that include anything from playing music, singing and poetry. Last night, for example, someone was up there reading poetry he had written while trippy music was being played. At the same time a couple of guys were working some kind of wall projector where they were liquids being manipulated to project a lava lamp type effect on the wall. Like I said, it was interesting. Coffee drinks are served here as well as a variety of beers and wine. If you get hungry they also have sandwiches and salads. The waitress was very nice and helpful when I explained I was vegan and wanted to order a sandwich. The sandwich came back quick and it was very good. Overall, its a good place to go and hang out or just have a cup of coffee. Its not so loud that you can't talk to your friends if that's what you came for. If you want to just have a beer and watch random people perform...or go up there too...that is also an option.
